Importing a SharePoint project tasks list to a project

Mauricio I

Hi Gurus,

I have created a task list in a SharePoint project workspace and I want to
import this list into a new project. I reviewed all Project Pro menus and I
couldn't find this functionality.

Your help is much appreciated

Thanks

There is no "one click" method to automatically take a Task list in a
Project Workspace and import it as an enterprise project. That said, if you
are willing to do a little work, you can import the List. Here's how:

1. Navigate to the Project Workspace containing the Task list and then
display the Task list.
2. Copy the URL for the Task list.
3. Close the Project Workspace.
4. Click the Proposals and Activities link in the Quick Launch menu.
5. Click the New button and select Activity from the pick list.
6. Select the Import from SharePoint List option and then click the Import
SharePoint List button.
7. Paste the copied URL into the dialog and then click the Get List button.
8. Click the OK button to import the Task list into a new Activity plan.
9. On the Tasks page, select the Summary Information option.
10. Enter a name for the new Activity plan, plus all other necessary
information.
11. Click the Save button and then click the Close button.
12. On the Proposals and Activities page, select any cell for the new
Activity plan (do not click the name of the Activity plan) and then click
the Convert button.
13. Click the OK button to convert the Activity plan to an enterprise
project.

After you open the project in Project Professional 2007, you can modify the
task list as needed. Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for the detailed steps.

Can I do this otherway?

Can I able to push tasks from PWA website (which I published from MPP) to Sharepoint Projects ?

Thanks in advance
