Importing images shows red x

I've already read the other posts concerning this topic. I'm a graphic
designer and very familiar with file formats, etc. I'm working in Word:mac v.
X. I'm trying to set up letterhead, invoice, etc inside word. I can't place
any images that were created in Adobe Illustrator. It seems that the only
image that will place correctly are low res jpegs that were saved out of
Photoshop. I can't use anything else created in Photoshop except for an .eps
and when I insert that it converts it and is even worse quality than the low
res jpeg. Any suggestions? Is there something different in the writing of the
jpeg file between a high res and low res that word doesn't understand? Help
please

You may also want to post this in the Word:Mac
newsgroup (link below) as well as the suport of EPS on that
platform and version are a bit different than
the Windows version.

Thanks for the reply. I've switched over to that board and it seems much more
helpful. I'm going to try a few suggestions from there. I just couldn't seem
to find that particular board. Thanks again.
