Importing Mail from Windows Mail into Outlook

I know this has bee asked before, but I must ask again as nothing seems to be
working for me. Have been using Windows Mail and hate it. Have installed
Outlook 2003 on my pc but need to move my messages and contact over. Have
tried using exchange and that doesn't seem to work. When I try using the
import of internet mail on outlook, it only offers Eudora and no Windows
mail. Could some one tell me what I may be doing wrong. Please be specific!

what happens when you use exchange? That is the correct one to use.

what type of email account?
