Importing/Modifying WBS into Master Project

I have two projects and trying to import them. When I do, I get duplicate
WBS codes. Then I tried modifying the subproject WBS but it still imported
duplicate WBS codes. Any ideas?

Hi JR,

I am guessing you are inserting project files into a master (not importing?)
and you have the option "Link to Project" enabled. If so, the inserted
subprojects retain their own WBS levels relative to their project. If you
insert the projects without the links, you'll see the WBS numbers change
relative to the master project.
