importing Now Up To Date calendar error

Posted from a mailing list, but I will be doing this too in the near
future so wonder if anybody knows if this is a known or existing issue,
and what the solution is...

--begin quoted problem--
I'm trying to import local and server events from a Now Up-to-Date
calendar into Entourage2004 11.2.5. I'm using Microsoft's directions at
<http://support.microsoft.com/kb/871016/en-us> (the only thing I can
find re: this operation online at Microsoft). With NUTD open, from
Entourage I click File > Import > Import info from a program > Now
Up-to-date > checkmark all the possible data types to import (Calendar
Events, Tasks and Notes). At the next step, where Entourage is "looking
for applications", it returns an error: the import could not be
completed because a necessary file 'Now Up-To-Date' was not found." Now
Up-To-Date is in the Applications folder, of course. Here's a list of
what I've tried:

Permissions repair
Logged in as a different user
Logged in as root
Importing a NUTD calendar that does not have any server events
Relocating Now Up-To-Date to the root level of the disk
Two different Macs.
Entourage X 10.1.5
Running the import with NUTD running AND not running

I tried exporting a text file of calendar events from NUTD, but
discovered that Entourage will only import _contacts_ from a text file.
How can I get these NUTD events into Entourage?

My specs are MacOSX 10.4.7, Entourage 2004 v11.2.5 and NUTD 5.3.0

If you want to go that route, get my Export-Import Entourage scripts
(shareware) from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

They will import your NUYD calendar, using the "Other Calendar to EvX"
converter and "Calendar Import into X". Read the ReadMe on Installation and
"Other Programs" sections.

But I too do not understand why you could not import using the importer,
assuming Entourage X includes NUTD. I suppose it's possible (Office v. X was
released years ago) that your current version of NUTD is too recent for the
importer.
