importing PST backup files to a new Outlook installation

A

Avloc

I am not being smart but after paying way too much money for Office 2003 I
have spent 12 hours trying to transfer the pst from my pc using outlook 2000
to my new laptop using outlook 2003. I have the pst file labeled outlook
backup the pst data file on my portable jumpDrive.
What steps do I do to transfer this info. I am suppose to leave on a
business trip tomorrow afternoon and unless I complete this I can not go. I
will pay someone to show me.
I have easily trnsfered the backup pst from outlook 97 to outlook 2000 and
between my pc and laptop....why did they make it so difficult with 2003?
Thank you,
Arthur

Hi Arthur,

"OL" is a 'shorthand' for Outlook, vs. 'OE' for Outlook Express,
with Outlook being a Microsoft Office produce and Outlook Express
being a MS Windows Internet Explorer Product originally named
'Internet Mail and News.
