In excel, how do I shade every other line in the rows?

IN an empty spreadhseet, hightlight Row 2 and change it to the colour of your
choice. Now highlight row 1 and row 2, press on the formatting button (the
paintbrush) and drag from row 3 down as far as you like. This will colour
every second row in the colour you selected.

Hope this helps..

Unfortunately, this method will not survive sorting, inserting and deleting
rows.

The CF method at Chip's site will.
