In Word, can you create a link between two fields in a form document such
that when the first field selection is changed, the data in the second field
changes?

In the Properties page of the first field, check the option for "Calculate
on exit" and note (and change, if desired) the contents of the Bookmark box
which is the name of that field. Delete the second field and replace it with
a cross-reference (Insert > Cross-reference) to the name of the first field.
