In MS project how do I unwrap text in the task name?

Help! The text in the task column has been wrapped creating large row
heights - how can I unwrap thwe text?

Depending on which version of Project you are using, individual rows can
be adjusted for row height. You can also select all rows and drag the
row height so it shows only the first row of text but the rest will be
hidden.

The only real way to "unwrap" text in the name field is to expand the
column width so all the text shows on a single row. This can get a bit
crowded if task names are very verbose. Ideally a task name should be in
action verb form. That is, it should describe what is going to be done
using a verb and should be short and concise. If more explanatory text
is needed, consider using a spare text field or the Notes field.
