I set a background color to encompass the entire 8.5 x 11 document, but when
I print the document it leaves about a 1/2 white margin. In essence, I want
the background color to "bleed" over the edge of the page when I print it.
I'm using Word 2003.

Hi Alexander,

Word reflects the page setup and the capabilities of your printer.
You can change the Margins in File=>Page setup, but whether you can bleed the edges depends on the printer properties in
File=>Print.
