I've been creating macros. somehow I've managed to get the 'Add' 'Delete'
'Go To' buttons on the BookMark Message Box greyed out, so now I can't make
bookmarks. How to re-activate them - anyone know?

To enable the buttons you must have a valid bookmark typed in the box. A
valid bookmark must be all one word, using only letters, numbers, and
underline characters.

If the bookmark is in header and you are in main document, this option is disabled. Go to header and try again.

The commands in the Bookmark dialog box should work, even if a bookmark is
in the header and the header/footer area hasn't been activated.

However, you are correct that you can't use the Go To dialog box to move to
a bookmark in the header or footer if the insertion point is in the main
body of the document.
