In Word hyperlinks are reflected as blue text, can this be change.

Yes. Click on Format | Styles and Formatting, and modify the Hyperlink and
Followed Hyperlink styles.

This will work for existing hyperlinks. Note, however, that this just
removes the blue and underlined formatting; the underlying links are still
hyperlinks. If you don't want them to be hyperlinks, also clear the check
box for "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks" on the AutoFormat As
You Type tab of Tools | AutoCorrect.
