Inactive window after completing Word 2003 Mail Merge

Paula@cga

If you complete a mail merge in Word 2003 using the Mail Merge Helper, the
document window that displays the merged documents is inactive and you cannot
click in the document to edit or print. The only way around this is to click
on a different window from your taskbar buttons and then click back on the
merged document window.

This also happens with the Mail Merge Task Pane when using existing letters
and lists from Word 2000.

Why is this happening? This did not occur in Word 2000.

Thanks,
Paula

Hi Paula,

The Mailmerge feature was rewritten after Office 2003. You may want to use the links below to post this to the Word Mailmerge
newsgroup and include the steps you're using (type of merge, data source, Windows version, etc).

Hi Bob,

I'm not sure what you mean when you said that this feature was rewritten
after Office 2003.

Thanks,

Hi Bob, As you suggested, I also posted this question to the Mail Merge and
FAX neswsgroup. No reply as of yet.

Thanks,
