Inbox in Archive folder active

My computer crashed when Outlook 2000 was on. It came up with "no
personal folders". I rescued my outlook.pst with scanpst.

Now Outlook has two Inboxes. One is in the Archives parent folder and
the other is in the Personal Folders parent folder, which has all my
before crash email.

My problem is my new received email is going to the Archive Inbox
(which was empty). How do I change the incoming mail to arrive in my
Personal folder Inbox and get rid of the Archive folder? Outlook won't
let me close the Archive. And Outlook won't let me move/close/delete
the Archive folder Inbox.

Thanks,
jz

Somehow, the Archive folder has been set as the default mail store. To
switch it back to the Personal Folders store, right-click the root folder of
Personal Folders, select Properties, then check the box that says "Deliver
POP mail to this personal folders file". After you move any current data
from the Archive file to the Personal Folders file, you should be able to
close the Archive file. (It wouldn't let you close it before because it was
the default.)
