INBOX Messages Disappear

J

John Gregory

When messages arrive, if I place my cursor on the message header - but don't
expand it with a double-click - then I move the cursor to another folder in
the tree of folders pictured in the Folders List... the message disappears.
It doesn't simply move to the Deleted Items folder but it disappears.... as
though I hit the DELETE key.

This is a relatively new development. I reformatted my disc and reinstalled
everything. Am having some issues with duplicate entries showing in the
search results window when finding contacts (though there is only one
contact record) but, other than that... no other issue of consequence. I'm
wondering if there's an option I've overlooked that automatically deletes
after reading and it interprets my placing the cursor upon it as being read.

you have a view hiding read messages and they are marked as read when you
