Inbox shows a letter in it when there is none.

computing with the help of friends

For several days my inbox shows a letter is still in it, but there is none,
that I can see, anyway. this happened after I sent myself an article I had
written, using the hidden recipents option. I don't know if that is related
to this problem. How do I get at this letter, or get rid of the false (?)
reading? G.O.

Right click on in-box, select advanced find, use criteria "unread mail,"
mark read.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, computing with the help of friends asked:
