include a real payroll package for total inhouse payroll.

Office Accounting Professional does not include a real payroll package. It
only has options for running a payroll through ADT. I am an accountant and I
do payrolls for a living. I do not want ADT.

Office Accounting Professional might be a good product, but you missed the
boat on this issue. That counts me out.

I totally agree with rbeam. Microsoft should not force us to use ADP. There
should be options for those of us who don't need or want an outside service
to do payroll. There should be built-in tax tables that can be manually
updated, and tax forms (perhaps with an option to buy a tax form update, but
for a much smaller price). You can't even get that with the accountants
version...there are no tax forms at all available without buying the ADP
option.

When you get into payroll you have ALL kinds of issues. 401k's,
Vacation, sick days, different requirements from state to state
commissions, different pay periods (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
holidays, hourly, salary, you get the picture.

Not really accounting functions IMO. More of an HR thing. What do you
expect for $100? A full blown HR package?
