INCOMING ATTACHMENT NOT VISIBLE

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ASSIST
I have a rather strange problem in so much that I receive
e-mails from my colleagues in my company to my remote lap
top. These e-mails have text attachments which I can see
and open without any problem EXCEPT from one colleague
whose attachment never appears on their e-mail.
If I return this e-mail, he can see his original
attachment.
WHY CAN I NOT SEE OR OBTAIN THIS ATTACHMENT FROM THE ONE
COLLEAUGE ?
