incoming mail flasher

How do I go about adding a flasher to the bottom of the screen to signify
incoming e-mail messages. Using Outlook 2007.

Click the box....Display a new mail desktop alert.

Tried this, however, time of display time is too short, especially if you
are away from the computer and it is switched on.

What I am looking for is the a button that used to be displayed in older
versions of Outlook. This resided in the bar across the bottom of the screen.
When an e-mail arrived a brown button (box) would appear at the bottom of the
screen and stay on until the e-mail was read.

Have you tried going to Options,Preference, E-mail Options, Advanced E-mail
Options, then click in the box next to: "Show an envelope icon in the
notification area. I hope this is what you are looking for.
