Incoming mail

Every time I go into Outlook to download new email my
settings change.
Incoming mail changes to: localhost and it adds a stream
onto the username.

Any idea what's happening and how it can be resolved?

That's being done either by your anti-virus software or an anti-spam
program, not Outlook.
