incorrectly named files?

K

Kevin Springall

Hi, I'll try and keep this as simple as possible.
Using Frontpage 2002, my web site runs like a dream on my
own PC, but not on my server.
I am certain that my files are incorrectly named and are
directing back to my own hard drive, ie.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My
Webs\myweb\mizzchif1\index.htm

Any suggestions are welcome please but please bear in mind
I am a computer virgin and really don't know what i'm
doing. Thankyou.

Kevin

1. Always make sure that you always have a web open (File Menu | Open Web)
2. If publishing to a Unix/Linux based server or not sure, always use
lowercase for folder and file names.
3. Do not create folder or file names with spaces
4. Make sure your home page is named exactly as required by your host.

have created a disk-based web site, not server based. by
the way my server does not run frontpage extensions. thanks
