How do I increase the numbr of entries/documents permitted under Files?

Go to Tools>Options>General, there's a scroll box to increase or decrease
the number of files displayed.

Hi Carl,

Nine is the maximum built in. You can use
File=>Open 'History' (or 'My Recent Documents'
depending on your Office version) to see a longer list.

That will let you set the number to 9. I need atleast forty.

Thanks

Let me repeat. I wish to extend the capacity of files to contain 50
documents. So far--what has been suggested had been gathred from the held
file. Been there-- twice.

Can you be a bit more explicit on what you are trying to achieve? The
phrase "I wish to extend the capacity of files to contain 50
documents" doesn't actually MEAN anything. What "files" do you want to
extend the capacity of?

In "Word" under Files, recently used documents, has a capacity for nine
files. I need to set that to fifty.

Thanks

Thanks for that - you can't AFAIK - it's set to that and that only.

Please use "Start","Documents" as a workaround.

That won't do it either. At most My Documents can be set to 25.

AFAIK My "Recent" Documents can be set to much more than that. Are you
doing that through gpedit.msc?
