Indenting bulleted lists

When using bulleted lists, the tab button on my keyboard only shifts over the
text, leaving the bullet in its original alignment. In order to make the
bullet move with the text, I have to use the indent icon on the toolbar. This
is a recent and irritating development. Any suggestions?

It appears that you have turned off a feature in the autocorrect window.
Tools, Autocorrect Options, AutoFormat as you type.

Near the bottom of the window:
"Set Left and first indent with tabs and backspaces"
Make sure it is checked. Then try again.
