Indexing service

Hello,

I am getting a little confused here with the indexing
service in w2k3 enterprise edition. I am able to use the
catalogue query form but it will also pull up files that
are not in that specified directory.

lets say I set it to track one web and I enter a word that
I know is not in this web how does it pull up other pages
from another web? I am getting results that's good just
gotta get it together here.

Second how do you set FP search page to link to the index
service anyhow? I am semi successful here any help would
be great!

Most like you only have 1 web and the rest are sub webs.
FrontPage server extensions link to your indexing.

This is not so. I have 9 webs and 1 subweb
the search function is a mystical thing here for me of
late.

Search component won't show up and the index search gets
all types of info. I really with MS would get a better
product than FPSE. Does the internet data connector have
to be allowed/enabled in IIS for this to work?
