infopath forms services - "there has been an error while loading the form"

Hi -

I have a form being used in MOSS 2007. There have been no real issues
with the form, except that when someone does a search and finds the
*.xml link in the search results it produces an error

"There has been an error while loading the form....The following file
is not a valid InfoPath form template: "

It appears that it is trying to load the from in the browser using
InfoPath Forms Services and the form is not web-enabled and the
library it is associated with is set to open in client. I even tried
deactivating the Office SharePoint Server Enterprise Site features in
the hopes I could disable/turn off Forms Services, but that hasn't
worked either.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
