Inline equations in PowerPoint

For those of us who use equation editor extensively, we know that it has a
couple of major flaws. The first is the inability to change the font size of
inline equations. I should be able to select an inline equation and then
resize the font just like I can with normal text.

While it is possible to manually change the font size, you must change
*everything* including the subscripts, symbols, etc. This is a major flaw
with this product.

The second major flaw is the fact that PowerPoint doesn't have the ability
to use inline equations. This makes presentations very difficult. Of course
this problem is direclty related to the previous problem. They need to
create a product that allows for resizing!

You can change the size of the 'box' holding the equation and this adjusts
the font size. I can make it look like an inline equation. For example I can
have a bulleted item read
If <some equation> then ......

It is annoying that while you are editing the text the equation disappears.

You may want to also post this in the Powerpoint
newsgroup (link below) and include the version
of Powerpoint you're using.

The Equation Editor is an add in by Design Science
licensed by MS. There is an enhanced version available
http://mathtype.com that may be more suitable to your
needs.
