input bar

I have done something (don't know what) and need to UNdo it.
I'm talking about the 'input' bar at the top that shows what you are typing
as you are typing it - not there any more.
The only way I can correct/change something within a cell is to double click that cell.

Have you tried going to the View menu to select Formula Bar?

It's also possible that the Formula Bar may be hiding behind the Menu Bar,
but it should be partially visible. If so, grab its left end & drag it.
