Insert a sound file that plays when I email the presentation?

I made a presentation and inserted a sound file. When I email the file the
receiver can't get the sound to play. The sound plays on my end.

What sound format are you using? If the music is in wav format, the best way
is to embed the music into the presentation. If you are using other format,
you can also
try to convert the music into wav format using sound convertor. By doing so,
the music will be embedded into the presentation (preventing the link from
breaking) and you do not have to email the music.

Alternately for non-wav format,
Create a new folder and move the ppt and music into the folder.
Now, open the ppt file, delete and reinsert the music to create a pathless
link.
Then, save your presentation.
Email both the presentation and music.

sound convertors and other related information here:

I am using a wav file. I inserted the sound from file & saved the slide as a
powerpoint presentation. When emailed the presentation transfers but not the
music file.

Click Tools > Options.
Select General tab
Set the value next to "Link sounds with file size greater than" to 50000 kb
Click OK.
If you've already added sound to your presentation, locate and delete the
wav sound. Then, re-insert the sound. (Insert > Movies and Sounds > Sound
from File...).
The sound you re-insert (with file sizes less than 50000kb or about 50mb)
will be embedded into your PPT file. See if it works this time round.
