Insert text from either a text file or an Excel file

Hi,

I've been asked to set up a screen with rolling information on it. This
information will be updated on a daily/weekly basis and will consist of
company names with one name per slide.

Instead of having to create a new slide for each new piece of information,
is it possible to create one template slide and have, say, a text box update
itself every 30 seconds from a text/calc file using the next company name in
the list?
