Inserted date prints the programming behind it, not the date. HP.

When a Word 2003 document with an inserted date prints, it prints what looks
like the programming behind it, not the current date. Inserted dates in
Excel 2003 work fine.
Microsoft XP, HP 7115 local printer.

Tools > options > print > uncheck 'field codes'
