inserting clip art

Recently when I've tried to insert a clip art image into
a document, Publisher freezes up. Is anyone else having
the problem, and what will solve this problem? I'm
running it on Windows XP. IT person has already loaded
patches and updates.

What version Publisher? If you have the clip gallery, right-click any image, click
recover. If you have the Organizer, tools, compact.
There are things you can do to fix a corrupt gallery/organizer, but it would help to
know which one.
If you are trying to insert from the Internet, your cache maybe full, in IE, tools,
Internet Options, delete files.

I recently upgraded from Publisher 2.0 to 97 to 2000 to 2003 but cannot get a grip on clip art which used to be so easy. Can anybody tell me how to do it?
