Inserting ClipArt launches my dial-up Internet Connection

I have Office XP and Office 2003 both loaded on my
computer (don't know if this has anything to do with my
problem, just thought I'd mention it in case...)
Everytime I ask to insert ClipArt (either from the icon
on the Drawing toolbar, from the Insert menu, or by
requesting the ClipArt task pane, my computer tries to
dial out. I have to cancel the process 4 times (seems to
be the magic number) before it will go on and let me get
my ClipArt from the local drive. Can you tell me what
setting I need to address to solve this problem?

Many thanks,
Lyndie

I know there's another way to get to this dialog, but I've lost track of
what it is, and this will work:

1. On the Help menu, choose Customer Feedback Options.

2. A dialog will open with information on the Customer Experience
Improvement Program (which, by the way, you should agree to participate in,
since it really will help improve the customer experience).

3. Under Category (left pane), choose Online Content.

4. Clear the check box for "Search online content when connected." This will
assure that Word's Help and Clip Art task panes don't waste bandwidth
searching online unless you ask them to.

5. The rest of the problem will be with your dial-up connection. There are
various settings for "Connect when a connection may be required" and the
like that you can experiment with.

I haven't experienced this problem with the clip art task pane, but the
Search pane (which pops up when I Alt+double-click to select a table) keeps
wanting to connect. <sigh> I could have sworn that it used not to do that;
it's distracting enough to have it open without having to try to squash a
connectoid into the bargain!
