inserting downloaded sound files from web into powerpoint - won't.

i am trying to insert sounds into a powerpoint presentation (mac - OSX). when
i insert sounds - go to gallery - than online - i find a sound and download
it to my desktop. when i try to put it in my presentation i can see it on my
desktop but powerpoint won't recognize it. the extension starts with an a -
it is not a wave file. how do i get it into my desktop. thanks!

It sounds as if you've downloaded an ASF, maybe? Anyway, you might try
posting to the Mac PPT newsgroup. They can help better, I'm sure.
