Inserting excel wordsheet into a frontpage page

I recently installed fp2000 and am taking a course through
work. In the manual it stated to insert a excel worksheet
all you had to do was go to the insert component menu item
and click on spreadsheet. My problem is that there is no
such component on the list of components. When i try to
customize the toolbar it just disapears. my spreadsheet app
is excel 97 . I don't think there is a compatabilty problem
because my workstation at work has all the office 2000 apps
installed and i get the same problem. Even the fp 2000 help
manual says that is all you have do. Something is missing
and i don't know how to fix it. Any ideas out there..? oh
and i did remove and reinstall fp 2000.

Requires at least MS Office 2000 (including Excel 2000) and the OWC (Office Web Components)
