Inserting Multiple Projects into a Master -

D

DBD

When I insert two projects into a master Project A & Project B, when the
master is closed and saved and then the project A is opened, it shows project
B inside of it.

This is not the results I was hoping for. Am I doing something wrong?

I tired two ways, the first was inserting the two projects and when i did
this, it appeared that Project A was correct until Project B was inserted
then it appeared tha Project was a indented under Project A which explains
why the project A original file had the project B info on it.

Aince this did not work I tried merely copying and pasting the data from the
indivdual projects intot he master but this looked liek they were not linked
together meaning changes in either dod not report to the other.

I want to be able to "link" Project A & B into the Master so updates of each
project are reported to the master, but I also want the individual projects
to remain indivisual i.e. project A should update if I move a date of project
A in the master, but it should not have any of project B info in project A.

Please help...

Hi,

Insert A
"close" it (minus sign) such that only the Project summary tasks is visible
Now insert B.
Now you can open both.
Hope this helps

Thanks John,

From how the project was inserting "underneath" the earlier project I
fiugured it was something to do with the sequencing, but had no clue how to
resolve it. Thanks again for your soultion. I haven't tried your
suggestiuon yet, but feel confident that it will resolve my issue. Very
Helpful.
