inserting project in 2003 causes duplicate tasks

I'm using MS Project 2003 trying to create a consolidated plan across 3 (or
'n').

When I use Insert Project with dynamic consolidation checked, I see my tasks
from the inserted project duplicated.

Inserted Project 1
Inserted Project 1 task 1
Inserted Project 1 task 2
Inserted Project 1 task n

Inserted Project 1 task 1
Inserted Project 1 task 2
Inserted Project 1 task n

What's going on ?

First of all, what do you mean by, "...create a consolidated plan across
3 (or 'n')"? Does that mean you are trying to insert "n" subprojects in
the master?

Another poster had a similar problem a few months back. He actually saw
duplicate Unique IDs in his file. He sent me his file - there were no
duplicate Unique IDs, however, he also sent me a screen shot showing two
of every single line when he viewed it. What operating system are you
using? What version of Office are you using? You said you are using
Project 2003. Is it the stand alone version or with Project Server? Do
you have update SP2 installed?

Yes, I am trying to create a master plan that includes 3 or more sub-plans
(managed by different people). In the mast plan task view, I used
Insert>>Project>>Project 1

OS is XP Professional 2002 service pack 2

We use full Microsoft Office. Project specifically is Microsoft Office
Project Professional 2003 (11.0.2003.0816.15)

I can send you a screenshot and/or video of how I did it and what I see if
you would like.
