Inserting Rows

Hi All,

I have created a table with Columns A-M.

Columns F K L and M have formulas in them

I am trying to insert some additional ROWS, but keep
getting an error message stating that to protect the loss
of data, Exel will not permit this function. This
happens if I attempt to insert a row in a row that is
blank or in a row with content.

What am I doing wrong ?

Hi Andy -

I tried your suggestion and although I'm not sure why, it
seems to have made a change.

I am now able to insert the row, however, I get the
little drop down list with "format as above, format as
below, delete formatting". The default is format as
above and the circle is filled in". I click enter,
nothing happens, the drop down list symbol remains, the
cells do not format.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Andy, I just realized that the row actually DID format as
above, BUT, the formulas in those 4 columns is not
appearing in the new row.

Shouldn't the formulas copy into the appropriate columns
of the new row ??

It depends no where you insert the row and whether you have Extend List
Formats and Formulas checked in Tools / Options / Edit tab
