Install and Register a DLL

B

Buddy Hogan

I used Start->Run->D:\I386\EXPAND FRAMEDYN.DL_
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\FRAMEDYN.DLL to install FRAMEDYN.DLL
from the XP Home Edition CD (it was missing and Adobe
Acrobat needs it). The DLL now appears in the above path,
but when I try to register it (Start->Run->REGSVR32
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\FRAMEDYN.DLL), I get an error that
says the DLL was loaded "but the DllRegisterServer entry
point was not found." The second line of the same error
message says that the DLL "does not appear to be a .DLL
or .OCX file."

Any help would be appreciated.

Does it still work if the DLL isn't registered? Sometimes DLL's don't need
registering or aren't intended to be.
