Install Office "Upgrade" on a New PC

S

SteveM

I had Office running nicely on an old PC. We had upgraded the PC several
times (mother board etc) and had gone from Office 97 to Office XP with an
Upgrade. I no longer have the Office 97 disks and the Office install tells
me there is no valid vesion to upgrade on the computer.

How can I run the install???

Many thanks.

You can't - part of the upgrade license requires that you retain all
qualifying products. Since you no longer have the QP, your license is
invalid.
