I just bought a new laptop to replace my very old one. I am going to wipe the
harddrive on the old and try to sell it. I need to install my Office XP Pro
with Publisher 2002 on my new computer, but it says that it is already
activated on another product (my old laptop). How do I get rid of it on my
old computer so that it will work on my new computer? I found some info for
other versions of Office, but not for XP 2002.

Did your copy of Office come with the old computer or did you buy it
separately?

Good - it's doable. :)

Uninstall it from your old computer.
Install it on the new computer. Select telephone activation. Call MS and
explain the situation to them. Easy peasy.
