Installation error restoring Office 97 in Win 98

Recently had to reinstall Win 98 to clean out Trojan
virus. Reinstalling Office 97 ends with an error message
"ACM Setup caused an invalid page fault in module
KERNEL32.dll@0177:bff7b9e3"

What does this mean and how can I install the software?
Also, cannot close the Acmsetup Error window after error
appears. Have to reboot the computer.

Sorry. That doesn't help. DMA is turned off and I still
get the same error message.

Any other ideas?
