When I insert the student and teacher edition it does not start. Nothing

I tried to do whay you said but a message that said
"C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXE.NT the system file is not suitable for running
MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows application" That message comes up but I have
Windows XP Home Edition
