Well I set up a Laptop through its right Manufacturer Restore CD, so that
Restore CD installed utilities and softwares into that Laptop, as: Microsoft
Word 97 in spanish, Mcafee, and so on. Now I have only one copy and version
about MS Office 97 Professional CDROM but in english, so I will like to know
Which are the right manner to install that Office version? I have to remove
the MS Word 97 Spanish Version, I meant the version just has been installed
by the Restore CD?

May you support and help to me about this, please

Best Regards

Hi Rosas Socorro,

Different langugage versions of the same Office 97
reuse the same file names, but with different contents
so in the case of Word 97 Spanish and Office 97 English,
yes, you'd probably want to remove the Word 97 Spanish
edition through Add/Remove Programs in the Windows
control panel then restart the PC prior to installing
Office 97 English if the PC manufacturer's restore
CD won't allow a selective install without putting
back Word 97 Spanish.

If you prefer to have both then you may want to consider
putting one of the products under a separae boot
partition.

If your edition of Office 97 is an 'upgrade' edition
you'll also need to have one of the upgrade product
qualifiers during setup of Office 97.

You didn't mention the version or language
of Windows you're using.
