installation of office 97 pro upgrade

Yes I had looked at 158069 which says that any version of Works will do. The
install CD, though, doesn't recognize it. I called customer service but they
said that since the program is obsolete and no longer supported I should try
the newsgroup. This seems to be taking me in circles. Or perhaps I don't
understand what "note at the very bottom" you are referring to.

install CD, though, doesn't recognize it. I called customer service but they
