Installation Point Question

T

Tony

Hi All,

We've set up an Office 2K installation point on our network for the purpose
of rolling out new machines and recently needed to change the location of
the installation point. After installing updates, how do we ensure that
machines that were set up using the installation point from the old location
get the updates that were applied to the installation point at the new
location? If additional information is required to answer this, please let
me know and I'll provide everything I can.

Thanks & Ciao,

Tony

Hi Tony,

One way you can do it is to use the following command.

1. Click Start, and then click Run. Type a command line similar to the
following in the Open box:

msiexec /i <Admin Path>\Data1.msi Reinstall=All ReinstallMode=vomus

where <Admin Path> is the path to your new administrative installation
point.
