Installation/Setup Problems

N.A.R.B.

When I purchased my laptop-there was a trial edition of
Office,which ran for 60 days.Once it expired,I uninstalled
it,and then installed Office XP Professional w/Front Page-
which I had installed on another system which I no longer
have.

Now my Outlook does not work at all-is it possible to go
back to Office XP after having Office 2003 (even as a
trial edition) installed ?

Do I have to go out and purchase the upgrade-will this fix
the issues ?

Please advise-via email or the newsgroup.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link.

I read somewhere on here that the pst file for Outlook
2003 is not backwards compatible with Outlook XP-could
this be the source of why my Outlook XP now does not work ?

I am considering going out and buying the Office 2003
software-perhaps this will fix the issue ....

Narb,

The PST are not backward compatible due to format. The 2003 has unicode
format. The XP has the standard formate. Here what you could do...

Import all your old pst file into the new format pst. Use outlook help to
look up import and exprot of PST.
