Installation

I have machine running Windows 2000. I am trying to install Publisher 2000
on it with the 2nd CD. After I install it and try to go into it It crashes
on me. The error is mspub.exe application error
instruction 0X77fcb397 referenced memmory 0X0f5852ba.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled. What is going on. I have plenty of
room and there should be no problem.

Shorten your printers name to 8 characters with no spaces.
That should fix the problem.

If it does not, go to the website of your printer driver manufacturer and
download the latest version of the printer driver.

UN-install the existing printer driver, and if it asks you 'do you want to
remove files no longer needed' - answer YES

Then re-boot and install the new printer driver and your problems should be
over.

Post back if they are not.

Where you a little sceptical that may work?

Did you only try shortening the name to 8 letters because you were
desperate?

Or did you really think we are good guys and gals that know our stuff.

You must admit, it is nothing short of an interesting and amazing fix.

Thank You so much! All I did was shorten the name of her HP laser jet II
and it works fine.
