I have searched Microsoft sites and others, but I couldn't find any useful
information. Please help.

I am an MSDN Team Developer.

I installed Office professional enterprise 2003 under the admin account with
full permissions. When the installation was finished, I started Word/outlook
for the first time and got this error" "word has been installed for the
current user. Run setup...".

I rebooted the system (xp sp2) and logged on with same admin account I used
to install Office. I started Word (as well as Outlook) and got the same
error. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled Office with the same admin
account, it did not help.

I have checked the permissions on the file "opa11.dat". The file does have
full permissions for "everyone" and System.

Please help.

Thank you.

Yeah!! Try the MSDN group. If you are a MSDN Team Developer then you do know the URL and how to contact A.B. from MS for this very simple issue. It is there and by him and others that can help you with MSDN Download\Install issues.

Meanwhile you are posting via the CDO interface. Copy\Paste the link below into your Browser's address bar to access that group. Some very smart people there that will recognize you as a MSDN Team Developer immediately as I did .<vbs>

Thanks Peter. I do not see "online concierge" on MSDN subscriptions site any
more. By the way, what does A.B. mean?
