Hello....
I have Office XP SB under XP Pro. Came as part of a Dell 4550.
When I attempt to load Quattro .WB1 files (from an old project I did in
1996!), Excel tells me that the converter is not installed (which I have
done), offers to install it and then gives me an "Installer Error 1606 ".
"Feature ID Not Registered".
I downloaded the MS file called MSICUU.EXE which is supposed to clean up any
left over installer items in the registry. Same error afterwards. It was
also suggested that I delete the registry entries related to the converter
installer, which I've done with no positive impact.
The converter runs nicely on another machine I have, so this isn't a
showstopper, but it would be nice to have Excel work properly.
