Hi,
I have an VB application that accesses an Access 97 database on a
server. It uses the Jet 3.5 dll. There is currently no version of
Access installed on the machine. If I install Access 2007 in that
machine will it interfere with the application using Jet 3.5?
Thanks

It shouldn't.

The names of the files for Access 2007 shouldn't conflict with the Jet 3.5
dll.

Hi, Allison.
If I install Access 2007 in that
machine will it interfere with the application using Jet 3.5?

No. Access 2007 doesn't overwrite Msjet35.dll. It will be fine for your VB
application to cohabit with Access 2007 on the same workstation.

There are experts that say that Access 2007 "is too buggy" for serious use.

Access _MDB_ is too buggy for real-world use but you dipshits are
still stuck with your training wheels.

ADP is a completely superior solution; ADP is better development, more
stability, more control.

If your database developer of choice doesn't speak ADP then get a new
DB Developer of choice.
